The Tegernsee is an outdoor paradise of the extra class. The 6.5 kilometer long and 1.4 kilometer wide lake is located about 50 kilometers south of Munich on the edge of the Bavarian Alps. It is fed by glass-clear mountain streams and framed to the south by the mountains Wallberg, Leonhardstein and Hirschberg. The vitalizing nature invites you to relax your body and mind. The lake and its landscape are breathtakingly beautiful in every season. And nowhere else in Germany is tradition as great as in Oberbayern. Throughout the year, numerous events around the Tegernsee show how lively traditions are still lived here.

Starting from Munich, we go through Munich’s famous suburb Grünwald to Bad Tölz and the Lake Tegernsee. During the drive you’ll see historic farmhouses passing by. After a Wallberg cable car ride, you enjoy a splendid view over the Lake Tegernsee. To satisfy your culinary wishes, a place in the famous brew pub “Bräustüberl Tegernsee” is reserved. Home-brewed beer and Bavarian treats are waiting for you there. Enjoy additionally a walk along the lakeside promenade before we head back to Munich.
